The Fair Way Toxin Tracker logoThe Fair Way Toxin Tracker

Taking care of this place is something we do together.

Residents, school families and club families share the same home.

Neighbors. Community. Stewardship.

Take Action

Change here is a community project. Residents, schools, clubs, and local leaders all live with the same water and the same land. These are the questions we can ask together, and the letters you can send, so that good information guides what happens next.

The eight transparency asks
  1. 1

Every club should publish its complete pesticide application records.

  2. 2

Testing should address the full application inventory through appropriate methods, rather than only a selected two-pesticide panel.

  3. 3

Add air and drift monitoring at the property lines, especially on the school side.

  4. 4

Test the wells at schools within a mile.

  5. 5

Schools and daycares should publish what they know, and post water and air quality reports on their websites.

  6. 6

Town wetlands commissions should require all of it.

  7. 7

New York City's Department of Environmental Protection should examine what regional courses send toward its reservoirs.

  8. 8

Legislators should close the golf-course exemption in the neighbor notification law, require monitoring within three miles of a school or daycare, require independent selection of testing panels informed by complete inventories, require full records publication, and connect nonprofit status with transparent public reporting.
